# Feature Tracker

This document tracks all features implemented in the Chocolate Ordering System.

## Format
Each feature entry includes:
- **Feature ID**: Unique identifier
- **Date**: Implementation date
- **Modules Affected**: Files modified
- **Status**: implemented / pending-tests / needs-review
- **Description**: Brief description of the feature

## Implemented Features

### FEAT-001: Exchange Rate Persistence
**Date**: 2025-10-25
**Status**: ✅ implemented
**Modules Affected**:
- `public/js/admin.js`

**Description**:
EUR to RON exchange rate data is now persisted in localStorage, including:
- Exchange rate value
- Fetch timestamp
- Source (BNR)
- Publish date
- Formatted date string

The saved rate is automatically loaded when the page loads, eliminating the need to fetch the rate every time.

**Implementation Details**:
- `fetchTodaysExchangeRate()`: Saves rate data to localStorage after successful fetch
- `loadInvoiceSettings()`: Loads saved exchange rate on page load

### FEAT-002: Invoice Extraction Verification Summary
**Date**: 2025-10-25
**Status**: ✅ implemented
**Modules Affected**:
- `views/admin-dashboard.html`
- `public/js/admin.js`

**Description**:
Added a visual summary box in the "Review Matched Products" section displaying:
- Total Products extracted
- Total Units (sum of quantities)
- Total Boxes
- Total Weight (calculated from matched products)
- Total Invoice Value (sum of quantity × price in EUR)

**Implementation Details**:
- HTML: Purple gradient summary box with glassmorphism design (lines 219-243)
- JavaScript: `updateExtractionSummary()` function calculates and displays totals
- Live updates when prices are edited in the table
- Recalculates when items are removed

### FEAT-003: European Number Format Support in Invoice Parser
**Date**: 2025-10-25
**Status**: ✅ implemented
**Modules Affected**:
- `routes/bulk-import.js`

**Description**:
Fixed LAURENCE invoice parser to handle European number formatting where:
- Dots (.) are used as thousands separators
- Commas (,) are used as decimal points
- Example: "1.881,00" = one thousand eight hundred eighty-one

**Implementation Details**:
- Updated regex pattern from `[\d,]+` to `[\d,.]+` (line 208)
- Created `parseNumber()` function to convert European format to JavaScript floats
- Removes all dots, then replaces comma with dot before parsing
- Now correctly parses products like "Kunefe" that were previously skipped

**Test Case**:
```
Input: "01-05-0083 Kunefe 418,00 4,00 1.881,00 Pcs 19,00"
Output: Successfully parsed with totalNetPrice = 1881.00
```

### FEAT-004: Dynamic Calculation Summary
**Date**: 2025-10-25
**Status**: ✅ implemented
**Modules Affected**:
- `public/js/admin.js`

**Description**:
Made the calculation summary in "Step 4: Calculated Costs & Final Prices" dynamic and comprehensive. All metrics now update automatically when any field is edited in the table.

**Metrics Displayed**:
- Products count
- Total Items (sum of quantities)
- Total Weight (dynamically calculated)
- Total Boxes
- Transport Cost
- Processing/Item cost
- Processing/Box cost
- **Total Invoice Cost** (raw EUR cost from invoice, no markup/VAT)

**Implementation Details**:
- `updateTotalCalculatedPrice()`: Recalculates all summary metrics
- Called after `recalculateAllTransportCosts()` and `recalculateSingleRowTotals()`
- Completely re-renders the summary HTML with updated values
- Text styling: #000 color, 15px font, font-weight 500 for better readability

**Changes from Original**:
- Changed from "Total Calculated Price (RON with VAT)" to "Total Invoice Cost (EUR no tax)"
- Removed large gradient box, integrated into clean grid layout
- Made all metrics dynamic (not just final price)

### FEAT-005: Removed Cost Calculator Tab
**Date**: 2025-10-25
**Status**: ✅ implemented
**Modules Affected**:
- `views/admin-dashboard.html`

**Description**:
Removed the standalone "Cost Calculator" tab as its functionality is integrated into the Invoice Upload workflow.

**Removals**:
- Cost Calculator tab button (line 41)
- Entire Cost Calculator tab content section (lines 273-327)

**Remaining Tabs**:
1. Products
2. Bulk Editor
3. Invoice Upload
4. All Orders
5. Import History

- **Backend**: Modified routes/bulk-import.js
- **Pattern**: Uses helper function (parseNumber) for transformation
- **Error Handling**: Maintains existing try-catch structure
- **Logging**: Added console logging for debugging
- **Compliance**: Full compliance

### ✅ FEAT-004: Dynamic Calculation Summary
- **Frontend**: Modified admin.js
- **Pattern**: Follows existing recalculation pattern
- **Function Naming**: Consistent with existing naming (updateXXX, recalculateXXX)
- **Data Source**: Uses calculatedCostsData global variable
- **Compliance**: Full compliance

### ✅ FEAT-005: Removed Cost Calculator
- **Impact**: Simplified navigation
- **Breaking Changes**: None (functionality exists in Invoice Upload)
- **Compliance**: Full compliance

## Notes
- All features in this session were implemented incrementally with user feedback
- Parser fix (FEAT-003) required server restart to take effect
- No breaking changes to existing functionality
